Marietta has a fascination for the human condition and our potential to adapt, change, and grow. She loves to share the beauty of “living in alignment with what we care about.” This often is a spiritual journey that brings meaning and purpose to the foreground of our lives and work.
Marietta Vis has over 30 years’ experience in the field of learning, leadership, and organizational development. After her masters in Psychology, she held different roles in the fields of change, development, and transformational learning while working for universities and national government.
She runs a practice as a heartfelt Executive Leadership coach and facilitator of transformational embodied learning. Her presence is inviting and communicates trust for leaders willing to grow and step into their authentic version of executive presence.
Her speciality in executive coaching is embodied leadership. As an ICF PCC certified coach, she is a Master Somatic Coach through the Strozzi Institute and an Executive Leadership Coach through the Institute for Transformational Learning at Georgetown University.
From a belief in our interconnectedness, she especially loves to work with leaders and organizations that have a mission to take better care of the planet and its people. Whether working with executive leaders directly or cohorts of women leaders who are longing to live the life they aspire to, she makes an impact with her deep presence and invites vulnerability and discovery in a safe space.
As a global citizen, she moved from Amsterdam to Washington D.C. and now to Johannesburg, and she has experienced the value of cultural literacy in building a successful coaching business. Moving around the world also creates an opportunity for self-development in meeting yourself in a completely new context.
In Johannesburg, she joined a daily bootcamp in the early morning hours and found a lovely choir and yoga studio nearby to be part of the local community. She can be with her grown children in Europe often because work takes her there.
