Questions to consider when Exercising Leadership (with worksheets):
What's Technical and What's Adaptive? - Identify the parts of your problem that can be solved with time and money, vs. the parts that involve hearts & minds and require people (including you!) to learn new ways of thinking or behaving
Where is the Heat? - Determine who is in the Panic, Learning, or Comfort Zones, to start to understand how they view the problem.
What Needs to Change, and What Losses are at Stake? - Determine what aspects of the current status quo can be preserved, what needs to be discarded, and what innovations might be needed. Then, consider the losses that people might be resisting with these changes.
