Krish Jaiman

Senior Associate

Krish believes in the inherent ability of people and society to undergo systemic transformation through practices of actionable love, deep listening, and community interdependence. As a facilitator and coach, he ventures to probe the secrets hidden underneath our leadership challenges and generational cycles - so that we may set these free and transform into the thriving humans we deserve to be.

Upon obtaining his Bachelor of Music from New England Conservatory in Composition, he moved to his ancestral homeland of India to teach Music & Social Justice with students from oppressed castes. Returning to the US, Krish taught an Arts & Community Organizing curriculum within racially segregated school districts in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Alongside this, he worked as a community organizer for civilian-led police accountability. His experiences as an educator and organizer illuminated to him to the systemic nature of race/class/caste oppression, and the wells of resilience and resistance that exist in historically exploited communities.

As a Master of Educational Leadership student and Equity & Inclusion Fellow at Harvard Graduate School of Education, Krish began to unlearn his own replication of deep-seated internalized systems of authority and power. He harnessed his learning with the Racial & Social Justice Department of the City of Somerville to bridge adaptive dialogues between the Police Department and youth community advocates.

His journey continues with KONU, where he hopes to continue transformation work with people journeying to challenge a status quo. To take care of himself, Krish goes to his rich sources of rejuvenation – fantasizing on the zaniest scientific theories, composing musical numbers on his piano, walking through the woods with loved ones, organizing with local community initiatives, and playing Zelda.
